What is The Lawyer Mindset?

The Lawyer Mindset provides counselling and educational workshops that empower lawyers to be their best for their clients, spending quality time with family and friends, or doing whatever brings them joy. We offer one-on-one counselling sessions, and because we’ve practiced law, we understand the deeper workings of the legal profession. We also design online and in-person courses to provide you with the tools to help you thrive in your practice and in life.
The Lawyer Mindset is comprised of concrete evidence-based therapeutic strategies that will help you conquer anxiety, depression, procrastination, imposter syndrome, or other life challenges, whether they feel like a whisper you are unable to silence or a tsunami of emotion.

Areas of Practice

Our approach is client-focused and tailored to meet the needs of each client. With evidence-based research and collaboration, we create a treatment plan to identify goals, and obstacles that are preventing clients from attaining optimal performance and satisfaction. The Lawyer Mindset works with clients struggling in areas such as imposter syndrome, perfectionism, career uncertainty, burnout, addiction, procrastination, workplace dynamics, anxiety, depression, and work/life integration. Utilizing cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), we help clients understand and embrace their “I’m the boss of my thoughts” mindset. With absolute confidentiality, we help lawyers maximize efficiency and effectiveness to reach excellence. We do this by identifying and helping them build on their strengths and work with concrete strategies that enable the highest level of performance.
